FirstService Residential coordinates a successful day of service at Silo Point


Local property management company and high rise community partner to meet the needs of the local school

BALTIMORE, September 28, 2021 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – Enabled saturday 25 september, FirstService Residential, the leader in residential property management in North America, partnered with staff and residents of one of its managed skyscraper communities – Silo Point – as well as local businesses, to organize its Day of Service to benefit Francis Elementary / Middle School Scott Key at City of Baltimore.

“This is our second year of coordinating this event and it continues to exceed expectations,” said the general manager of Silo Point, Chris Petrik. “At the end of the day, the school looks brand new. It was great to bring everyone together to participate and make a real difference.

A group of nearly 40 sponsors and over 100 volunteers spent the day carrying out many projects at the school, including:

  • Painting of several exterior areas.

  • Multiple improvements to the landscape.

  • Major landscape cleaning, clearance area for the garden, replacement of mulch and new plantings.

  • High pressure washing of the aisles and relining of the school parking lot.

  • Interior cleaning of the school and steam cleaning of all carpets.

  • Extensive general repairs carried out by the Silo Point maintenance team.

  • New outdoor tables assembled and tinted.

  • Washing of all the windows of the school.

  • Collection of donations of school supplies.

  • Donate leftover mulch (nearly 20 meters) to the Locust Point Civic Association for use at nearby Latrobe Park.
