The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders from local businesses for the provision of security services for the Safe Haven Transition Center located at Purcell Estate, Tortola.
The proposed scope of work is to provide the Safe Haven Transition Center with 24 hour security with the primary purpose of protecting the property and lives of residents, employees and visitors.
Procurement Coordinator Ms. Ishma Rhymer said eligible bidders are also required to have a valid business license and submit certificates of good standing with respect to social security and taxes, including wages and salaries. income tax, VI Social Security Board, National Health Insurance and domestic revenue.
Tender documents will be available between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Tender documents will be sent to bidders electronically upon request to [email protected] with the title “Provision of Security Services for Safe Haven Transition Center”.
A virtual pre-tender meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 20and April 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Due to Covid-19 preventive measures and social distancing guidelines established by the Ministry of Health and Social Development, all potential bidders will be informed of the access code and password before the meeting. All potential bidders are invited to attend.
Interested bidders must submit one (1) original and three (3) copies plus one (1) USB key containing the bidder’s documents. The original bid must be placed in a sealed envelope marked “ORIGINAL” and additional copies placed in another sealed envelope marked “COPIES”. Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope marked “Tender for the Provision of Security Services for the Safe Haven Transition Center” and addressed to:

All bids must be deposited in the “Tender Box” at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit), RFG Place, Road Town, Tortola, Virgin Islands, by the bearer no later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday 24and May 2022. Tenders Won’t do be accepted after the closing of the “Tender Box”.
Tenders will be opened at the Procurement Unit, Ministry of Finance, Place RFG at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday 24and May 2022. Bidders are invited to attend this process via “Webex”. Bidders will receive the access code and password before the opening.
